In the works

Things are going pretty steady at KAMIKAZE, picking up speed here and there. I've made one pair of mittens, and soon I'll be making them for a few friends who want them. I altered this awesome pullover, added a hood to it, and soon I'll add a breast pocket featuring the KAMIKAZE logo. There are a few more of those I need to do as well. I printed some buttons, so in the near future I'll assemble those and that will be neat. Also, I finally made it to Franklin to pick up my screen and squeegee, so patches and such will be coming forthwith!

I'll post pictures of all this stuff soon, in the meantime craft or perish!

Kamikaze Kickoff

Today marks the beginning of KAMIKAZE - something I've been wanting to do for a long while but that has just recently taken flight (pun not intended, but definitely welcomed).

KAMIKAZE is basically my homage to handmade and do it yourself crafts. Hopefully in the near future I'll be able to convince some more kids to participate, but right now I'm flying solo (again with the puns...). Immediate project plans include: 1" buttons, screen printed patches, fanny packs (which will be given a new name when I think of one that's good enough), hoodies, and mittens.

I made a pair of mittens earlier to kick things off and show myself that I'm really going to commit time and energy to this endeavor and not just talk about it like I usually do.

I'll of course post pictures of things as they are made and use this space to document the flight (love it) of KAMIKAZE.
